Badagry Slave Museum, Badagry, Nigeria: This comprehensive museum, housed in a historic 1863 colonial-era building, features 8 galleries documenting the transatlantic slave trade through powerful sculptures, historical artifacts, chains, shackles, and documents. The museum commemorates an estimated 555,000 enslaved people transported through Badagry, the largest slave port in West Africa, where approximately 17,000 slaves were sold annually over a 400-year period. A striking statue at the front depicts an enslaved man and woman breaking free from chains, symbolizing the end of the Atlantic slave trade in Nigeria.

Nigerian Slave Tour, Badagry, Nigeria: This immersive journey takes participants through multiple slave-related historical sites, including the Seriki Williams Abass Slave Museum—a Brazilian baracoon built in the 1840s with 40 rooms that once held captives awaiting purchase by European traders. The tour also includes the Mobee Slave Relics Museum, which displays original chains used during the 15th-century slave trade. Guided tours provide in-depth retellings of slave trade history via road and boat with professional English-speaking guides.
