Eligibility & Registration
To participate in the Alkebulan Bridge Project, individuals must meet the following criteria:
- United States Citizenship: Participants must be citizens of the United States, ensuring that they are eligible for the travel arrangements and program logistics.
- Age Requirement: Participants should be between the ages of 13 and 30, allowing for a focus on youth engagement and empowerment in understanding their heritage.
- Identity: Individuals must identify as Black or of African descent, fostering a community that connects with their African heritage and promotes cultural pride.
- Travel History: Participants should not have traveled to an African nation after the age of 12. This eligibility criterion aims to provide first-time experiences that deepen their connection to their roots.

6. Registration Requirement: All interested participants must officially register with the Alkebulan Bridge Project. Registration includes completing the necessary forms and providing any required documentation to secure their place on the trip.
7. Commitment to Participation: Participants should demonstrate an enthusiasm for engaging in cultural education and community outreach activities during the trip, ensuring a commitment to personal growth and mutual exchange.
8. Parental Consent: For participants under the age of 18, parental or guardian consent will be required for registration and participation in the program.
Process for Registration:
- Application Form: Interested individuals must fill out an application form available on the Alkebulan Bridge Project website or through outreach programs.
- Information Session: Candidates may be encouraged to attend an informational session either virtually or in person, which provides insight into the program’s itinerary, objectives, and expectations.
- Submission: Once completed, the application form should be submitted by the specified deadline, along with any supporting documents if required.
